Dude, this battery life is attrocious

Is there a poll on any of the various TP2 forums on other sites? I think most users find the battery life to be awful, but you'll always get someone to jump in with stories about amazing battery life. I had the TP, every single tweak known to man to improve battery life, and multiple...

    .Net Compact Framework Corrupt?

I've been noticing some strange behvaiour recently on my Sprint Touch Pro. XCast doesn't update and recently doesn't show any text on the today plug-in line or in the settings menus. Only the word "exit" is visible in the settings. LockMeLite also doesn't work. Since both of these use .Net...

Rants after a few days of use

Phone settings are back. I installed a few registry hacks that were apparently not suited for the TP and made the phone settings dialog disappear. I restored the Control Panel/Phone registry settings to their default values and now all is well.

Rants after a few days of use

I found the GSensor registry items, but I'm not sure which items will disable it. Ideally, I'd like to not only disable it in software, but also turn it off (if possible) to get some battery life advantages. I see an entry for polling interval - maybe I should set that to a ridiculously high...

    LED Question

It's a light sensor. It uses the sensor to detect ambient light and adjust the screen brightness.

Rants after a few days of use

AE Buttons Plus is awesome. After reading up on it at PPCGeeks, I've got it working quite well. Battery life has improved after I installed CodyPPC's hack. I'd still like to disable the G-sensor and the light sensor. I'm glad the phone settings issue is limited to my device. Since it's not...

Will Touch Pro Batteries Work with the Sprint Pro?

I purchased a 1340mAh battery off eBay. I'll report back on how it goes.

    Incredibly Short Battery Life?

I wish i could get 40% left after 18 hours. That would be acceptable indeed. Is that with Sprint or the Fuze?

Rants after a few days of use

It doesn't appear to do too much on the Pro. I thought you can only re-map the "End hold" button? I tried re-mapping the other keys but it didn't work.

Rants after a few days of use

I have been using the Sprint Touch Pro for about a week and have noticed a few issues: 1) Can't access Phone settings. Go to the phone screen, tap on options, nothing happens. Same thing if I try to tap on phone settings in Comm Manager. 2) Battery life is abysmal. I'll try to get a...

    JBlend

Opera Mini is a great browser, but with the best JVM (JBed), the text is too small even on our VGA device, with the "Extra Large" font setting. This link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=407656 discusses an alternative JVM called JBlend. I have followed the instructions but...

    Incredibly Short Battery Life?

Hope springs eternal but don't expect anything close to the Curve's battery life. The Fuze/Touch Pro line is capable of a lot more than a Curve (including 3G), however, battery life will be measured in hours, not days.

12 reasons why the Touch Pro WHOOPS the iphone!

The iPhone is the product of the best marketing campaign ever created for a mobile device and its perception as the successor to the iPod. Beyond that, it's a two-handed single-tasking OS (think Tungsten X) that will have tremendous success because of the developer partnerships Apple has...

Will Touch Pro Batteries Work with the Sprint Pro?

There are a ton of 1340mAh batteries on eBay for the original (European) Touch Pro. Does anyone know if these will work with the Sprint version? I'm hoping they will since the Sprint version is slightly larger, but don't want to waste my $$$ unless someone can confirm.

    Incredibly Short Battery Life?

I changed OperaMini's settings to HTTP from Socket. This has worked wonders on battery life in the past.
