First time posting here. Pre-Portico (still no OTA updates here in Malaysia) stock camera. Original from stock camera. Edited the color tone via Fhotoroom. Retouched on vibrance and clarity via Nokia Creative Studio.

I'm facing this problem too. 2nd time I've encounter this. My Lumia 920 is a pre-portico version (aka. the original OS and firmware). The screen would not autolock too. Just turn dim and stay on.

I'm considering the Sony MH1 for my Lumia 920 too but I was uncertain which version to get. As you've mentioned, the MH1 LiveSound works but does the control still works?
