Ok who's along for this wild ride w/ W10M and MSFT.

As for myself, pretty much gave up although we still have our 830, 650 and 950. Was using the 950 as our secondary as of today but it just becomes too painful, again and again.:unhappy: The lag, loading, resuming, some apps acting erratically, app-gap, and the browser(s) that fail to deliver...

If you were to switch phones today...

Wanted to try one out myself (iPhone SE) but sorta getting long in the tooth now (my personal perception), unless we find one for a steal-of-a-deal unlikely to happen now. Good luck with your new purchase and hope you enjoy. ☺ Update: Duh my bad! Pegged the SE as 2015 vintage when in fact it's...

Just got my lumia 950 xl, love WP 10! Why is WP having a hard time?

Guess I'm looking at the masses (LOL) which were either following or on the ship prior to 10. Sure they'd have paled in comparison to the other two platforms. The thing is, that momentum and awareness fizzled rapidly with MSFT's newest reiteration of the platforms OS due to its poor...

Just got my lumia 950 xl, love WP 10! Why is WP having a hard time?

Oh they had a reputation prior to the retrenchment and inception of W10M. I knew of it and one reason their "again" change-of-direction got my hackles up. I'll venture to guess there's many followers of the new reiteration of WM but not actual users, and watching how things have unfolded so far...

Just got my lumia 950 xl, love WP 10! Why is WP having a hard time?

Been there done that with BB, the very reason I left in 2012 and haven't looked back... Yet 😉

Just got my lumia 950 xl, love WP 10! Why is WP having a hard time?

Not so sure about that, hardware is only part of it. To obtain success you need the "whole" package (hardware/OS/apps/support/etc) and I feel they failed to deliver on many fronts. Even if they came out with something now or shortly down the road, the perception of the past will haunt them for...

SSD or HDD as your main drive?

All my PC/laptops/MacBook Pro all have an SSD (256GB min) for the OS with most having an extra HDD for storage... Usually turf CD/DVD drive in favour of more space on lappy's. Don't game but do take lots of pictures/videos. As for the amount of devices, waaay too many and at some point we'll be...

If you were to switch phones today...

Have a 950 myself and got to admit, after many updates including CU, it hasn't been impacted in a negative way... We're using it as our secondary right now. On the other hand, I've seen little to no improvements over the course of my ownership... The Windows Store is one exception, has improved...

Rant regarding the use of Ad Blocker . . .

Haven't been visiting site much lately with this just becoming evident to me yesterday. Out of all the sites I've ever frequented Mobiles Nations has been the only one forcing me to implement an ad blocker. In the past, no matter what the device specs, it was just so painful to use w/o a...

Windows Phones missing from Canadian Microsoft Store

Had a similar experience when I had issues with my L650, yup bought off Microsoft Store.ca and phone came from US, resulting in warranty issues... Was none of my doing yet became soley my problem. Took months to sort and was never really resolved to my satisfaction, basically a one-way street...

Don't install our buggy Windows 10 Creators Update, begs Microsoft

That's exactly why I haven't bothered to update any of my PCs, been there and done that multiple times in the past and rather not do it again for awhile, if that is an option. W10 hasn't been a bill of health for my systems I must say.

    My windows vs Android experience

I've been running Android for some time, like 13/18 months respectively for my GS7 and LG G4. Personally it has been very stable, predictable, consistent, with no app-gap issues per se. In those time periods only one reset for each, ever, and no noticeable degradation in performance either after...
