Okay, it's acceptable and understandable that you may or may not like it but that isn't an excuse for Microsoft to not update the app.

I don't have a problem with FB dropping support but I believe they should tell Windows users what's the case so we can move on and think about what we're going to do. Although it is unacceptable for a billion dollar company to not be able to maintain a single app.

It's important to scale to mobile friendly size because it's also used by tablets and it's also improtant in order to have many apps open at the same time. You wouldn't want Facebook to work only in full screen so that you can have messenger and/or other apps open simultaneously.

I'll be waiting for any insider info on fixing this and then I will make a post! Thanks !

I am not 100% sure but if you head to Settings-->About-->Reset phone it should reset to W10M. However I am not 100% sure so you better wait for someone else to confirm this.

An app development cannot depend on speculation.

But they have a desktop app and it's awesome. The question is, why not make it universal? I believe WC as journalists can get some more info out of FB.

If they intended to give us 16xxx builds they wouldn't have split mobile into a different branch, this makes no sense.

The day that the problematic update leaked, the contacts update also leaked so it may be a broken app version. But the fact Microsoft still haven't fixed that after so many days leaving us with no access to our contacts is admirable.
