That doesn't work. There is something software wise in the tablet that prevents charging from a non standard micro USB.

I plan on wall mounting this tablet hooked up to a webcam for recording purposes. The user will then be able to login and upload to a specific website.

I want to bump this now that people have their hands on it. I have the connector that I mentioned above. Just waiting on the tablet itself to come in. Anyone who has received the tablet give this a try yet?
