I upgraded for Win10Pro. Attached is CPUZ + task manager. Still after reinstalling Edge I get very high cpu usage. installed chrome and 1-2%.. :( The i5 at 3.5Ghz is quite snappy in windows actually - high performance = boost for 3.5Ghz all the time.

any way to reinstall Edge? that is the only program With high usage...

how is cpu usage With edge? I also want to use Windows 10 S but cpu usage is just CRAZY. fan ramps up and battery is draining With this type of usage. see Attached screens.

my biggest problem now is that Microsoft Edge uses 30-40% CPU while just having one tab open.. any tips here? It hits my battery pretty hard and the fans spins up so much its a littlebit annoying.

I also bought one. very good machine With just two "flaws" that I can see. first; Edge uses very much cpu and this gets the fan going - and the machine is not in the nearby silent anymore. second; in the middle of the keyboard the machine has a littlebit of flex. its enough that I can feel it...

mine actually has the i5 7300U cpu :) 8GB, 256GB "Commercial" Version We also have a i5 8GB, 128GB Version in the store I work in now. YES - this is the surface LAPTOP :)

Hi, The monitor is just a bare panel at 14 inch from Sharp. Its a IPS panel FHD :) Since its eDP 30pin Interface I can use a: HDMI LCD Controller Board DIY Kit for 1920x1080 2Lanes 30 Pins EDP Display Panel This gives me HDMI in to the screen and AUDIO output aswell if I want :) BR, Haakon
