Ya ...it might taken a few attempts but its easy to get activation fees waived The better approach is to tell the sales rep up front that you won't buy unless its waived on the spot ...gota use what leverage you have

I just got the 18th update as well Hope this solves things ...it was a very small update ...took less than 3 minutes to download and install

if you follow any of my previous posts I tend to be an avid defender of MSoft however, this issue is soo strongly cloaked in incompetence that they deserve all the criticism they are getting ...the fact that broken firmware was allowed to be pushed out to users alone is of serious concern...

The January 14th update has caused me numerous problems.. My SP2 wakes up on its own and my battery is reporting 40% wear ...wtf Microsoft?

I never had a problem with the December update other than my battery bar going crazy and reporting 1000 hours left wish that was true = )

there is an option in the wifi settings that keeps wifi connected even when the display is off if that box is not checked then your phone will revert to cellular data every time the screen goes black

the tool isn't all that necessary ...you could just cut it with scissors ..its not that hard, for a nano sim you pretty much have to cut everything but the gold contacts ..make sure to mark with side has that slant tho also straight talk has different sim cards since they operate on all...

I also have it turned on, haven't noticed any kind of crazy battery drain but...its hit or miss, sometimes it doesn't work

The FCC Chairman recently forced the CTIA's hand when it comes to phone unlocking, (he pretty much told them, either you do it on your own or I'm going to make you) however the policy is yet to be fully implemented in the near future, it will be OBLIGATORY for carriers to unlock handsets...
