This problem seems to be fixed, latest (22.1.2016) Messaging + Skype update fixed this problem.

Problem is most likely .29 update and Messaging + Skype app running in the background that is draining the battery in only 4-5 hours. Only solution right now is not to allow Messaging + Skype to run in background - which means that you need to manual check for incoming messages / texts.
