Hope we made the right decision sticking with Windows Mobile

I checked it out, but I need an app that can uncheck all items in one shot. I have checklists with dozens of items that I need to be able to reuse. Recurring tasks won't work because they aren't used on a schedule. The problem isn't templates. It's very easy on the PC to create a reusable...

Uhh...I'm the OP and I never called you anything.

Hope we made the right decision sticking with Windows Mobile

See, that's the thing. We ARE diehard MS and WP fans. My wife and I are older (as you can probably tell from my avatar) and we're both longtime IT programmers. I work in IT security for a large corporation and my job involves writing .NET internal C# and VB.NET applications and PowerShell...

Yeah, I hope it's full Windows 10 on ARM in a phone sized form factor.

I checked it out and unless I'm missing something, the only way to reset the checklist is to go into each individual task and uncheck it. I have checklists with more than 30 items that I need to be able to reset.

I looked at Wunderlist, but it looks like way more than I need, and I didn't like the idea of being tied to their servers. I just want a simple checklist app where you can easily uncheck all items and reuse the list. I had Ultimate Checklist in Windows 8.1, but it's gone now. It's actually easy...

Hope we made the right decision sticking with Windows Mobile

My wife and I decided last spring that we would try to hang on to our three year old Verizon Lumia 822s for one more year in expectation of a 2017 Surface Phone. Here we are a year later, and now Surface Phone is 2018 (if ever) and our now four year old 822s were seriously needing to be...

Worth changing L640 for L950 at present time or wait?

So, I was going to start a thread but then I saw this one, and it seems appropriate to piggyback. My wife and I have Lumia 822s running 8.1 that will be 4 years old in March, and they really need to be replaced. We had hoped that the Surface Phone would be coming out this spring, but that's not...

Switching platforms? | Thinking of leaving?...comment here!

This isn't a case of not having "the same kind of service levels". Google deliberately shut down an existing service so that MS customers could no longer dynamically sync their Gmail accounts with Windows devices such as Windows Phone and Surface Pro. In hindsight, it seems obvious that the...

You may be right, but we're in no rush. We're big fans of Surface (having gone from Surface Pro to SP3 to Surface Book) and by the time the Surface Phone comes out, we should have a pretty good idea of where universal apps are going.

Switching platforms? | Thinking of leaving?...comment here!

Actually, it did. We were Gmail and Android users when we switched from iPad the original Surface Pro and discovered that we were hosed because Google decided to put its feud with MS ahead of the needs of its customers. We ended up moving from Gmail to Outlook and from Android to Windows Phone...

Switching platforms? | Thinking of leaving?...comment here!

We used to have Android phones (Samsung Fascinates), until Google decided to screw Microsoft's customers by breaking Exchange ActiveSync. We turned our back on them, and I'd never go back to Android unless I could do it without any Google services. Like a Cyanogen/Microsoft phone with access to...

My wife and I have Lumia 822s that are over 3 years old. Not gonna waste money on new Lumias and just not ready to switch. We're hoping these will hold on until the Surface Phone comes out. Come next spring, we're either going to have Surface Phones or iPhones.

Surface book shutting down, or am I misunderstanding?

I'm having these problems and have been involved in one of the Microsoft support threads. Turn off hibernate and just sleep and the SB crashes when it wakes up if it's been asleep for a while, or it just doesn't wake up. Use hibernate instead, and the Windows Hello camera stops working, the...

Latest firmware update broke Windows hello?

Unfortunately, Windows Hello is only one of the things the 2/17 update broke on my SB.
