I bought a few extra (14) for my business last night, and it said 3 weeks. I'm very impressed with the one I already received, just needs more apps, however I dislike the default browser (the way it handles tabs, I much prefer Chrome) although it looks like we're stuck with Internet Explorer...

Any that will work with normal Windows, such as XP, Vista or 7. I started my Surface and can see several printers on my network, aswell as my NAS storage and other stuff. Seriously cool. Don't even need to install drivers for them to work.

And on Friday the 2nd it will be: "Ahhh yes the 2nd is what's been on the website all along, but that's only a dispatch date, from China!!" Which means it will arrive next week on Tuesday. :dry

"Customer Support" is some third party company in Romania, they don't really know anything other than what they hear from other customers. They deal with lots of businesses, not just Microsoft. Surface pre-order failures: Too many cooks | ZDNet

Am I correct in saying that everyone who has one so far in the UK ordered on the 16th they day that pre-ordering went live?

I wouldn't worry about it. They've charged the Surface and touch cover separately for most people who ordered the Cyan cover. This is because it comes in a separate box and isn't part of the unibuy package. You'll see a ?99.99 hold go on soon, when they get their act together.

I can play Call of Duty, TF2 and other quite advanced games on my HD 4000 & Core i5 processor with pretty high settings, so I'd say it will be fine, the other hardware might provide a bottleneck though, but I don't see any issues. The main thing that will turn people off the Surface Pro will be...

The delivery cut off for pre-orders was yesterday, the 30th.

I'm tentatively hoping that some of the DHL guys couldn't get to everyone yesterday in time, and so there's some Surface's left over to be delivered today. I don't have much hope though.
