Same issue, but a semi-decent workaround (in case you can't wait it out, which seems to be the only thing to do): Launch Cortana...you can now search your apps via Cortana, so...it isn't ideal, but better than waiting forever. Hopefully it gets resolved soon because I actually like the new jazz...
