    Cortana Appointments

When I tell Cortana to make an appointment, she automatically sticks it in my "Hotmail" calendar. I'd prefer that she use my MS Exchange calendar. What's ever weirder is that even when I de-select my Hotmail calender (in the calendar app), Cortana seems to automatically re-active it. Any ideas...

    Another 920 bites the dust

Wow, I finally received a call from Nokia! A nice lady (Hazel) manually e-mailed me a repair ticket with a shipping label. She reassures me that they will actually fix the problem this time. I'll be sending it off to Nokia tomorrow. All it took was three weeks, four phone calls, three emails...

    Another 920 bites the dust

I do like Windows Phone 8, so I'm hesitant to jump back to a Android or an iPhone. I'll check out the 1020 before totally giving up...

    Another 920 bites the dust

Still no response to my e-mail, other than an automated acknowledgement. I think that I'm reluctantly finished with Nokia. I really like WP8, and I like Nokia's hardware (when it works). But I don't think that I have a choice. The phone doesn't work, and there doesn't seem to be a way to get...

    Another 920 bites the dust

Yep, no screen protector. Good idea though, thanks. I tried contacting support on Facebook, since I've had poor luck over the phone. They asked me to post the problem to Twitter (weird--do they really want me to keep publicizing this problem?). I got an e-mail address, which I've tried...

    Another 920 bites the dust

Google it. Or search these very forums. You'll find lots of instances. So, just because you haven't heard of a common problem means that I'm tough on my equipment? The truth is that I'm not hard on my phone. It lives in my pocket and on the charger. I've had seven smartphones (HTC, iPhone...

    Another 920 bites the dust

So, my Lumia 920 is broken AGAIN. The proximity sensor is failing (just like it has done with two other phones), so that when I try to hang up, the screen stays dark like it is still next to my ear. This problem has been temporarily fixed before by sending the phone to Nokia--but the same...

Dust under the front camera lumia 920

Well, I've now been through two more units, and they have all had the same problem. Dust eventually builds up enough to block the proximity sensor and front-facing camera. The software update seems to have made the proximity sensor less sensitive, and my phone seems more reliable now. Not a...

Lumia 920 Random Freezing (possible) "Fix"

I replaced one that froze every hour or so. It would even freeze during set up--so I know that it wasn't a "rogue" app. The replacement hasn't frozen once in two weeks!

    Alternatives to HTC Clock

Yeah, I'd love to have that clock on my 920 too. None of the ones that I've found update often enough.

920 still rebooting after Portico update

I had a phone that locked up and rebooted every time that I used it. I couldn't even get through the setup without it crashing! AT&T replaced it with a new one, and it's been smooth sailing ever since. If a full reset doesn't make things better, get it exchanged. A fully-functional 920 is great!

Dust under the front camera lumia 920

My first 920 had dust under the front-facing camera, and a hyperactive proximity sensor. Like many, I found that I could blow on the earpiece, and the phone would work properly for a few days. I finally got sick of blowing, and contacted Nokia--and they requested that I send it in for warranty...

    Proximity sensor to keen

Reasonably common issue, unfortunately. Some people have found that they can blow hard (or with compressed air) at the top of their screens and/or earpiece to remove dust that's blocking the proximity sensor. That worked fine for me--but needed repeating every few days. After calling Nokia, they...
