    IPhone or Android for Microphile

Thanks Laura! That post was very helpful

    IPhone or Android for Microphile

Its not just the app gap but certain apps like the Weight Watchers app and carrier availability. My GF is on Verizon and I'm switching. I can't afford a Lumia 950 unsubsidized. Then there's the lost features of windows 8.1 that I used to live by like the quiet hours turning on and off with my...

    IPhone or Android for Microphile

Although I love windows phone, I'm not as stoked about it as I was when I first got my Lumia 920 or surface pro. I still love OneDrive and outlook.com and Xbox but I think I want a new flagship phone and Microsoft has dropped the ball in that department. But their apps and services on other...

1520 or 930? How bad is the 1520 Screen Sensitivity Issue?

Although my trial of the 1520 was terrible, moving from the 920 to the HTC One M8 with Windows has been fantastic! I don't know why there's so little love for it but it has features I wish my Lumia had. Things like an IR blaster for my tvs, auto-answer when lifting a ringing phone to your ear...

1520 or 930? How bad is the 1520 Screen Sensitivity Issue?

I tried the L1520 and returned it within the two week return window. I really wanted to love it but between the screen sensitivity and ghost tap issues it was unmanageable. I babied that thing too with no noticeable change. With my 920, anytime I pick it up, it works. With the 1520, it...

Browsers that load websites desktop version

Wpcentral loads mobile version on my 1520 regardless browser. Drives me nuts that websites do this but especially wpcentral. I'm also interested to know how to resolve this

    Lumia 1520 Bugs & Defects

I just got a L1520, green, two days ago. Had the swipe-tap issue out of the box but that is livable. Probably a software issue. Halfway through my first day it started freaking out with the phantom tap issue. Physically bending the phone, ever so gently, actually stopped it freaking out...

Locked into ATT, Considering upgrading from L920 to L1520...but which one?

Hi Folks, I have a L920 that I purchased around launch. I am due for an upgrade and I'm looking at the L1520. My wife is still locked in a contract with ATT so I'm stuck with ATT. I don't have the $$$ to buy an unlocked phone. I've been looking at the 1520 but it seems they are not all the...

    Running Apps with Distance-Based Intervals?

Fyi, Runtastic does this now. In the intervals you can specify either time or distance as your interval criteria and you can even mix it up--walk 5min then run a mile etc.

    People as Notifications

I have her in my people hub now linked to Skype, twitter, facebook, and etc. but her emails don't go to my inbox. I have filters so everything she sends me goes into a unique folder. I pinned her as a contact to my start screen and that will get live tile messages but to get notifications I...

    People as Notifications

Is there any way to setup notifications for people? Kinda like how you can pin a live tile for a person you get an indicator that they sent you an email or message. If so, how? I'd love to see my wife's name in the notification center letting me know an email was available.

    Is "Quiet Hours" a Misnomer?

I was thinking more along the lines of getting sucked into an unplanned meeting, turning quiet hours on, and then accidentally getting a now unwelcome calendar reminder.

    Is "Quiet Hours" a Misnomer?

Ah, good catch. I didn't think about quiet hours being part of the Beta Cortana. Hopefully we will see many improvements I Cortana without having to wait for GDRs.
