    Disaster of a launch...

True dat. Seriously though, it's a disaster for people having to wait for phone, but not for Nokia. Smartphones are "supposed" to be sold out during first month! If they had enough prodution power to exhaust demand during first month after flagship launch, they would have way too much...

Is the camera a deal breaker for anyone?

I think you overdid that contrast a bit. OP, try it yourself if you can. Frankly, most people, even the (phone)reviewers are clueless when it comes to rating camera performance. They just don't know cameras. You can take horrible pictures with any camera. And most likely you will if you don't...

"Wow, what kind of phone is that???"

I think Nokia simply nailed it with the Lumia 900 design. (and Lumia 800/N9 ofc) Best looking phone out there and good looks make it stand out. It has that "modern day jewel" -feel that very few phones have. iPhone had it once. Now I just want more colors and custom tilesets. Like in this...

    Vibrate Rattle

Possibly because: 1. It not a huge issue, but a minor annoyance, unlike the data connection bug 2. It only affects some phones 3. There might be no easy fix 4. They don't want to advertise a minor annoyance that they can't easily fix Have you tried the app shown here though: ATT Nokia Lumia 900...

    Is this the Lumia Pureview???

It looks wild but possible, unlike some of the consept phones we have seen. The design actually makes sense and the Pureview looks good on that, unlike on the 808 IMO. Nokia has built some crazy phones in the past so I would not be suprised if they made something like this. Definately not a...

    iPhone Central sorry BBC Report

Thanks for you post. "Loses smartphone war"? Wow. Prediting the future? It did not suprise me one bit that WP and Nokia had a little bit off slow start with the Lumia launch in Britain. They started from nothing and had all the odds against them. But they planned it well and from what I hear...

Current devices WILL NOT get Apollo.

So you think spending hundreds of millions of dollars to promote WP7 and Lumia "hype" makes sense if you are planning to dumb them both in just 6 months and start all over? All that money just to boost the number of apps? In my opinion: Nonsense. It absolutely makes no sense. All that press...

    Nokia Lied to Me

It's not a lie. It's a traget date that was missed. I'm sure they fix it soon. Elop is a canadian after all! ;)

I'm going to help with the Apollo update.....

Nokia only gave guidance to Q2. The Q2 guidance is suprisingly low though. Lumia 900 and 800C should be pretty big boosts for the smartphone profits. Symbian is losing money at the moment but Lumia is easy money as long as it sells.

    Bing Maps or Nokia Drive?

Nokia drive and Bing maps are both powered by NAVTEQ. (which is owned by Nokia)

CNBC: "Nokia In Full Scale Collapse"

Feature phone market going down? Maybe. That does not mean its unprofitable bussiness than should be dumbed. Nokia is still making some 25% profit off every feature phone. But obviously smartphones are the future and therefore more important.

    Why WP7 could still fail.

It's not the name that makes product cool. Its the product that makes the name cool. Besides, cools come and cools go. Cool never stays.

CNBC: "Nokia In Full Scale Collapse"

No. Feature phones is the old cash cow for Nokia. Getting less important but still profitable. It's the Nokia Siemens networks that Nokia needs to sell/kill/fix. It's been losing money from the the start.

CNBC: "Nokia In Full Scale Collapse"

Well NOK stock has been going down over a year now. Markets just don't beliave in windows phone taking off because they never beliave it untill they see it. Rampant pessimism. Total opposite to Apple. (growth in the past means growth in the future) Lumia 900 sales figures might shut some...

Current devices WILL NOT get Apollo.

People just have no patience. That said, Microsoft or Nokia should soon just come out and comment something. Even if they can't say anything detailed. God knows WP and Nokia could use good news and good media right now. So much confusion, speculation and panic going on.
