Yeah it's working fine right now. Weird. It seems to be more likely to cause issues when the Surface has just been turned on, and OneNote hasn't been launched since boot.

The problem is that it's a second-hand handset, and EE are a pain! I think I'll just go into the shop and see what they can do, I might be able to borrow a SIM card for 5 minutes.

Is there a way of preventing Xbox Music from streaming stuff over mobile data, while allowing it to work over WiFi? If not I believe I can just prevent it from doing so permanently by turning off the 'Sync my online collection' button in the settings?

Dunno, I have no problems streaming to the unit in my car (VW RMT 200) or my mum's Skoda (the standard VW Group 9w7 unit, in cars from around 2010 to now), and of course it works flawlessly with my Nokia MD-12 speaker which came free with my 930! So WP8.1 is perfectly capable of streaming

It's now gone back to normal. Weird. But saves me a lot of annoyance!
