Okay, problem solved. The phone came with Windows 8.10.14226.359 and firmware 12241. I installed the Win8.1 Preview for Developers which then proceeded to install an OS update. After a reboot, the touch sensitivity problem is totally fixed and it behaves much like the scrolling in my old HTC 8s...

I just checked updates after seeing your post. Nothing new is available. I've contacted Blu tech support so hopefully they'll get back to me.

Nope. The 'Show more tiles' option doesn't show on the WinHD for some reason. It shows on my old HTC 8s just fine. Any ideas? -AJ

I purchased a new WinHD recently but noticed that is seems to be stuck in a 3-column tile layout with no way to switch to 2-column. Is this by design for all Windows 8.1 phones that have a 5" screen and larger? Is there any solution to switch to 2-column? -AJ
