yes. install and operating excellent.

I tried a SP3 when it came out and the loud fan noise made me return it. I have a SP4 and the fan noise is subtle and does not bother me.

There is a Surface 3 msi file download from MS with all updates. Just search. Latest from Jan. 2017 Download msi file and run. It will check and update.

The quickest way to get the HB activated if not in a program for me is tap on time, sweep past steps, distance, etc, etc to heart rate. Acquiring begins. Not sure what you mean by Recording.

Same camera. XL-Faster processor. Battery life: both phones require configuring for best battery life (ie. turn off unnecessary background apps-all start in ON mode, after update they seem to turn back to ON mode too. Brightness settings etc etc.) in order to maximize the battery for the day.
