For Windows 10 Mobile users (What are you doing with your current device?)

I still use my Samsung Ativ S as a daily driver (on 8.1 update 2). I also own a 950XL that I intended for replacement of the Ativ S. It is on insider fast, and I use it to play with UWP apps and for the great camera, but it simply has too much battery drain for normal use. When I use Maps for...

Windows 10 Mobile build 15063 Discussion (Redstone 2; Fast Ring)

Put it on my 950XL. So far so good. Noticed a change in the Insider Programme; up till now I could only choose Fast or Slow, now I can also choose Release Preview!

How do you rename a single tile in the WIN 10 start menu

I use the 'Pin More' app, allows you to give our own name and tile to a pinned website in the start screen.

[Guide] How to update to 8.1.2.

Succesfully updated my ATIV S to 8.1.2, partially using the instructions in this forum. I started from 8.10.14219.341 with firmware 2424.15.3.2, didn't do any flashing or hard reset, just installed the registry editor and changed to the advised settings. At first it didn't find any updates, then...

New build 10586.71 Anyone take it? Feedback?

For the first time since I run WP10 'data usage' is working in .71 on my L640 dual sim! Some apps wouldn't restore, but soft reset fixed that. Don't need to scan the SD anymore after startup or soft reset. Overall I'm happy with his version!

10586.63 is here for update ( insider fast ring)

Updated my L640 DS 24 hours ago from .36, no reset, no real problems, just an SD scan but that went OK. Now I can load UK English for speech language, used to give an error in .36.

Build 10586.29 .. Battery drain issue

Lumia 640 dual sim, on .29 for 3 days now, satisfied about battery use, same as .11. Never did a reset after updating from 8.1. No special battery saving measures, tap to wake is on. I charge via Qi every night during Quiet hours, so if there is a problem there I won't notice. Usually I have 50%...

Why W10 November update is not showing up?

A Dell laptop, an Asus netbook and an old desktop all updated automatically, but my main i5 desktop ignored the update. The media creation tool worked perfectly, keeping all my settings and apps!

Who's got build 10581? How's it working for you?

Facebook beta was also unstable on my 640, since I replaced it by the regular facebook app no more problems. Haven't had a restart in four days.

Who's got build 10581? How's it working for you?

Settings/system/display, size of text slider. At 175% it will show 4 columns, if you also have 'show more tiles' activated in Settings/Personalization/Start.

Who's got build 10581? How's it working for you?

Last night updated my Lumia 640 from 10549.4. Big improvement, start screen comes up immediately, not after several minutes. Had many apps on SD, they all survived, I only applied a soft reset. Everything working smoothly, apart from the known storage problems. Love the maps to SD option. I...

Who's got build 10572? How's it working for you?

Love the new startscreen with 4 normal or 2 wide tiles next to each other at 175% text height on my Lumia 640. Very well readable on this 1280x720 screen!

Windows 10 Mobile build 10549! How do you like it?

For me 10549 is working stable in daily use, only several minutes of 'loading' after startup and somewhat more battery use. Changed the text size of my Lumia 640 from 200% to 175%, that allows to have 4 medium tiles or 2 wide tiles in a row, looks very good and readability is still fine.

Has anyone bought the colored flip covers?

I got the official matte black cover and put a Qi receiver in it, after cutting away some of the flap material inside the bottom. Found out that on the right there is some aluminium foil, probably for heat spreading, kept as much as possible. The USB connector of the Qi receiver needed some...
