Re: What are you doing without usb-C? What am I doing without USB-C? Simple - I don't buy it and stick back to my SP4. In fact, even USB-C isn't enough. If it doesn't have Thunderbolt 3 (for eGPU or expansion), I'm not buying it.

Final update: Well, it appeared by itself around 6pm AEDT.

Update: Still no joy. Might have to do an upgrade from the 10586 ISO (from the media creation tool) instead.

Hi, The November update hasn't appeared in Windows Update yet on my Surface 3 (Windows 10 Home). Any ideas? Or is anyone else seeing the same problem as well?

It's an optional update, so I don't think it'll automatically install itself (not too familiar about this, I'm an OS X developer and bought a Surface just for the fun of it)

Hi, Apparently the Intel AVStream Camera driver update released via Windows Update earlier today broke the front and back cameras on my S3. A system restore did the trick. So here's a little heads up for anyone who may have installed it and found that their cameras didn't work.

Thanks! This swayed me already and I've ordered a 4/128 variant of the Surface 3. This will largely be used as my personal take-everywhere tablet to complement my work-issued SP3 (i7/8/512).

Good day, Title's self explanatory. I'm about to order a 4/128 Surface 3 and I'm wondering how fast (or slow) does this thing boot, compared to the SP3. I'd expect it to be slower considering its eMMC storage, but how much slower would it be compared to a baseline SP3? Thanks in advance.

What's the boot time of the Surface 3? I'd love to know how fast (or slow) the thing starts up when compared to the SP3, given its eMMC storage.
