I originally bought my Band 1 and then 2 from Microsoft. Band 2 died in April and I was told out of stock. I sent my band to Microsoft, and I was sent a check that came a month or so later.
To my surprise last night a new Microsoft Band 2 shows up at my door from Microsoft. No information as to why. It doesn't appear to be my actual band or a brand new band (didn't have plastic would typically see, and it was setup for Windows phone with device name that was "Operator ..." fouled by some random letters and numbers. I had to do factory reset to pair. No paperwork explaining why it was sent.
Was wondering if they found a closet full of them and were sending them out to other people as well?
FYI - I am currently using a FitbitBlaze after briefly trying a Garmin Viviosmart3
