Not water proof or resistant

I want one just because I do, but I can't because its not water proof.
What good is it if you can't even wash your hands. It sais don't get soap on it.

It is water resistant and unless you plan to immerse it in some liquid normal activities like hand washing should be fine.

Waterproof and water resistant are different things. Waterproof means you can submerge it. Resistant means it's okay if you spill water on it, or it gets rained on.

Soap is not recommended on it no doubt because the soap may weaken any rubber seals and/or barriers to the internals.

It's really not hard to wash your hands without getting soap on a wristband. Just don't rub soap up your wrist. Who the hell soaps their wrist anyway?

Well, I generally don't wipe with my forearm, I use TP. In any case, I just washed my hands with my Band on and no damage.

I would tend to give the product safety and regulatory info a lot more credence than a spec comparison built by a website (Not being critical of Neowin.
