Create own apps (official sdk availability)

Is it possible to create own apps on Microsoft Band? In future? When?
I found nothing about it. (like "for developers" section on official site)

The main site for Microsoft Health seems to be mostly for developers: Microsoft Health | Official Site

There is a section asking about if you want to develop, with a contact email. Not quite Band API stuff, but hey, getting in on Health SHOULD get you into the Band, no? I'd like to think it would.

I mailed to the email address mentioned and this is what I got:
