A pretty sound review comparing the Microsoft band to a Garmin 920XT for accuracy in GPS, DISTANCE AND PACE/SPEED ACCURACY. Anyway a good read.

Having compared the Band to my Polar RCX5+GPS Module and chest strap for a couple of weeks now, I can concur with everything the reviewer said.

Basically if you want detailed, exportable, accurate HRM and other metrics, then get a system designed for doing that.

As an everyday activity monitor for most people, the band is pretty damn good - better than any FitBit device I have owned.

Excellent review! Although I guess I'd be flattering myself to label myself as an 'athlete', his findings are pretty much exactly in line with my own. I intend to continue using my Garmin Fenix 3, but I also intend to continue using the Band. Its just an all-around good device.
