Replying to txt's via Voice/Cortana

To be able to respond to a txt with voice typing.......is the only way this is possible to have Cortana and Location set to ON in my phone?

I do no have Cortana enabled on my phone because I do not want Location ON all the time for 1. battery drain and 2. showing my location for any reason when not needed.

Why is this in Microsoft band? And yes, location must be on for Cortana.

Sorry, I am trying to reply to a txt using voice typing via Cortana. I cant use the keyboard because I have bad eyes and big fingers. So being able to use speech to type would be really useful to me with the band.

Yes location must be on for band keyboard and Cortana
Also, there's no battery drain for leaving location on and if there is, you have some bad app installed
