I know people will say ban is only sold in USA and UK, so that is why only golf in those countries will work.
I am in Canada and a proud owner of the band. All features and functions works well.
Why put a restriction on the golf ? The data exists for many golf courses in this and other countries. The band is being used in other countries, Canada and many parts of Europe and India and Asian areas.
The software is done and course data exists, not sure what would hurt to open it up.

I'm not even a huge golfer, but the description of how this technology will work amazes me and I want to try it.
Taylormade should allow downloading of any course in your area regardless of location. It won't cost you anything and make many more early adopters happy.

Just my 2 cents ( Which in Canada would have to bump to 5 cents as we have no more pennies.)

I think the restriction is from Taylor Made. I would bet it's just until they work the bugs out, since both are global companies.
