Get the band at $100 or wait for Gen2?

I bought the band when it first came out... back when the demand was idiotically high and people were paying 250% the value just to get their hands on it.

Needless to say, I gave in and sold mine.. for about $430. Regretted it all since because it was really neat. Seeing the news drop that it was getting a rounded-display generation 2 was awesome because that's all I disliked about the form factor... but now that the OG Band is just $100, that's hella tempting.

To buy a massively discounted G1 or wait for G2?

It's kind of hard to say right now. The new price is great, yes, but there are a lot of unknowns regarding the Band 2. Would you be okay with getting a Band 1 for $100 even if Band 2 improves upon battery, apps, waterproofing, etc.? My guess is that the Band 1 will hit $100 price points many more times after 2 is out, so it may be worth it to wait two weeks to see the whole package first.
