New apps for first gen?

Does anyone know if the first gen will get the apps that are being promoted for Band 2, like Uber or Loseit? Or simply, is the first gen dead or going to run the same OS and apps with the 2nd gen?

I've gotten away from programming for the Band, but the SDK is the same for both Band 1 and Band 2... so apps should be the same.

The design guidelines are different though. I haven't jumped in it yet, but I noticed the screen size for Band 1 is 320x106 and Band 2 is 320x128

I think apps will adopt to the screen size. The only problem could be the OS compatibility, but since SDK didn't change, then it means they still use the custom band OS (probably Windows CE) rather than W10.
