Does the Band 2 inadvertently count steps when driving in a car?

Just curious. I've had this problem sometimes with my phone.

Wtf? I don't think the problem is your PHONE or BAND.

Some Band 1 users reported the problem. I think the small steering corrections would get into a rhythm and sometimes confuse it and cause it to count steps.

The same happens even if you are not the one driving, so it is not the steering corrections... it is most usual when in traffic or if you are not speeding
