Cortana is not connecting after last firmwareupdate Band 2

Not to be a jerk, but the Cortana fixes have been touted in past updates for the Band 2 as well as Insider Preview builds of Win 10 Mobile and yet it hasn't actually been fixed. Please please please try to fix it this time. Its one of the main reasons I bought the band, and I'm "this" close to returning it.

Just adding my agreement. This issue is driving me crazy. It's the inconsistency as much as anything.

There is an apparent correlation with connecting and receiving texts via Cortana in my car. Worked fine with windows mobile 8.x but has been an issue since windows 10 upgrade.

This should just plain work consistently.

I followed the advice in the first post of the thread I linked above. Going on a couple days now of near flawless operation.

The advice is to set Microsoft Band to 'Always allowed in background' in Battery Settings. I also set the same for Cortana and Weather which seems to have fixed other issues I've been having.

How's the battery life of your Band 2 on that build?

Spoke too soon, Cortana not connecting again and keyboard not coming up.

My band battery life seem a bit worse lately. I've only had it a couple of weeks, and at first it would make it 48 hours, but lately I'd say it's more like a day and a half. I don't use GPS.
