I'm just looking for a smartwatch that will give me multiple stopwatches that can be started and stopped and left running and preferably named, but without a smartphone. Can the band do this? I'm struggling to find information on google for any smartwatch other than the fact that they all have a stopwatch. Any pointers? Thanks

These links actually provide you with a decent answer :) naming the laps... well I haven't seen a smartwatch/band that does that yet

While the stopwatch is running, you can tap "Lap" to start timing a new lap

It vibrates every one mile of distance that I cover, which intuitively gives me a very precise feel of how much distance I’ve covered, without having to rely on landmarks and measure laps like I’m used to.
