I have read in a few places that the only current use for the GSR sensor is to tell if the band is being worn.

Does anyone know if this is true? It wouldn't surprise me if GSR was factored into sleep or other algorithms.

I was playing around with the Band Lab app this evening and noticed that while wearing the band screen in (my preference) the GSR value appears to struggle- shooting quickly to 340k and staying there. When the screen is facing outside (with GSR on the inside) the sensor values drop to ~ 8k and then fluctuates a small amount every few seconds- what I would expect for good readings.

So all this said I am not worried about it if GSR is really not used - but if it is I am not getting the benefit while wearing the band screen in... (Likely due to arm hair?)

Appreciate any insight
