The word deviant is accurate here. Your comparison is way extreme.

No. It's not. It's exactly the same. As Jas already mentioned, "deviant" means "abnormal, atypical, anomalous, irregular". You know what is also considered "abnormal, atypical, anomalous, irregular"? I'm pretty sure you do and not only don't you agree, you take issue with the use of "deviant" to define it.

Lol because I am not going on about my love of porn in this thread? Okay then :)

In case you haven't noticed, no one is going on about their love of porn. Most of us just understand that a thing like the HoloLens is fertile playground for the porn industry. And we have absolutely no problem with that. No one here is advocating that the HoloLens should only be used for porn. No one here is advocating that Microsoft's shouldn't include a safety toggle of some kind to avoid children from accessing it.
However, no one here - apart from you a a couple of other members - is advocating for Microsoft to go all Inquisitorial and ban the possibility of the HoloLens also serving the porn industry.
That's the difference you still haven't grasped. We are just saying that Microsoft SHOULD ALLOW the HoloLens to be used for whatever the user wants to do with it. If the buyer wants it to play Minecraft, Microsoft should be fine with it. If the buyer wants it to watch holographic porn, then Microsoft should also be fine with it. Period.

By calling people who watch porn "deviant", you're just bringing on trouble upon yourself, mate. You may think it's deviant. But you cannot want to impose your view on it on other people. I may think that tentacle porn is deviant (I don't, I just think it's utterly gross) but I have no right to go around wanting Google to prevent it from showing up on search results just because I don't like it. And even less do I have the right to pass public judgement on people who like it.

You assume everyone will jump on the HoloLens to watch holographic porn...they won't. Just like they don't jump on VR sets for it either. Actually, here's a video (Sort Of Safe For Work) of people reacting to VR porn. It will show you that probably the people you think would jump on this wouldn't and the people you'd think wouldn't jump on it, actually would.

Lmao I am legit laughing, that you would even try and compare those two things.I can't when with that as the two are not comparable at all in the least.

The word deviant applies here with porn.

I didn't assume most would. I simply said I how Microsoft would go for something a bit more respectable and actually innovative for positive uses. Such as gaming and education and not endorse/support this kind of thing.

Again nobody is telling you what to watch lmao. I find it lame and prefer experience it personally then sitting behind a computer watching others but some are into that lmao. To each their own.

Still I hope Microsoft won't endorse or offer support for it because this could have a negative reaction from parents who may not want that type of product for their children or stigma it may bring.

As far as this thread, I have two younger siblings around here somewhere and I just didn't think it was a suitable topic especially with how crass some people were for a site that does have younger members. I was under the impression the site was meant to be more family/kid friendly is all.

Clearly you never saw Daniel Rubino's article about teaching the Word Flow keyboard to swear...
