530 or 520

I've been wanting my first Windows Phone, my Dad got a 520 for Christmas and I had a play with it and loved it. In the UK Carphone Warehouse have the 530 for ?39.99 on payg upgrade which I'd be eligible for. But the 520 is ?49.99?

I've read reviews which don't seem to rate the 530 (processor not as good, no auto focus camera on 530, lcd screen not as good as the 520), so I thought I'd ask the forum before I decide which I go for.

Any help/views would be great.

530 camera is a little better but screen is worse.

530 can be quite a bit faster though.

I would get the 520, but the 630 is a better phone to compare it to. The 530 is even lower end.
The 530''s camera is fixed focus, I'd avoid that unless you dont really care. You aren't getting either for their camera chops though.

530 pros:
Faster benchmarks, performs better
more options under cyan (brightness profile for example, but it doesnt have the double-tap-to-wake where the 520 does)
(subjective) virtual buttons
option for dual-SIM

520 pros:
better camera (can focus)
camera button
proximity and light sensor (for auto-brightness and stuff)
more internal memory (not including memory card)
better display (although still meh)

I believe that the 520 is better, despite whatever benchmarks tell you. The 520 can record 720p video and playback 1080p, it has a camera with autofocus and so on...however a better comparison would be the 520 vs the 630, provided that it's available for you.

Having used both for quiet some time
530 if you want better performance 520 if you want a better camera and slightly better screen . I was actually very impressed with the 530 despite its uninspiring spec sheet .
Although if you are willing to spend a little more then definitely get the 630

Personally I would go for the 530 - cheaper and doesn't have annoying capacitive buttons. Also the genuine flip case looks damn smart.
