Sorry just had to write it. The Microsoft logo on the front looks really not nice, why couldn't they write Lumia on the front in some nice lettertype? Microsoft is already on the back...

Completely agree as I was looking for it to read Lumia instead on the front and as you've said a special letter type font would have been nice.

Microsoft hate? I have a Microsoft laptop and a Windows phone and I don't use Android or Iphone! This is just about the logo ;)

I agree. The thing that I don't get is that on all of Microsoft's other devices, you don't see the Microsoft logo on it. Instead you see the brand logo. The Xbox has the Xbox logo, the Surface has the Surface logo, Zune had the Zune logo, etc. In fact, Office 2013 even removed the Microsoft name from it.

Logically there should be a Lumia logo on their phones. That would look so much better. If they really want the Microsoft logo on it, then they should do what they did with the Band and only put the four squares on it, not the words too. Slapping the entire word "Microsoft" on the front and back seems poor taste (probably thanks to carriers like Verizon who do the same thing).

The thing that I find amusing is how everybody keeps saying "why isn't lumia written on the phone". Pull out any of your Nokia lumias and know what you will find written on it? Nokia and that's it, lumia was never on the Nokia phones either.

Your point is definitely valid. The way I see it though is that Nokia used to do that. This is Microsoft now. The branding convention for Nokia was to primarily use the main company name on its products. The branding convention for Microsoft has been to primarily use the product name on its products. You don't see a Microsoft logo on the front bezel of the Xbox. You don't see the name Microsoft anywhere on the Windows or Office splash screens. When you go to Bing, you see a big Bing logo, not Microsoft. To me, this just seems out of place to see Microsoft written all over this phone now.

Of course, this is just my personal opinion. I'm not trying to say that my way should be correct way. :D
