My Lumia 535 not charging after being dropped in water, can I fix it?

my lumia 535 not charging after being dropped in water

I dropped my microsoft lumia 535 in the toilet bowl for a couple of seconds,it was quickly removed battery taken out and dried,it was soaked in rice overnight and in morning worked fine,now when trying to charge it starts up but the battery icon has a question mark in then goes off?? im not very technical so is this phone ruined???

The problem is that when the water boiled away it left some particles in the circuits which probably damaged the usb charger connector
if that happened you have nothing to do :\

Some L535 experienced a few minutes under water and worked fine for a life-time
it all depends on the fall

Wait what?

dried overnight and in morning worked fine

You should have left it to dry 3+ days... would have been better if you had put it out on the sun over the day, instead of soaking it in rice over the night :grincry:

I have the same issue with the battery icon. Please what can one do to fix that?
