1. How are you trying to connect your phone to your PC? through a data cable? Bluetooth? some other connection?
2. If you're using the data cable, ensure that it indeed is a data cable (not just an ordinary charging cable). Data cables are usually thicker than simple charging cables, but the surest way to check this is by connecting a different device through that cable. Also consider using a different data cable.
