why windows device recovery tool not dectacting my lumia 535?

i have windows 10 mobile tech. prew. on my lumia 535. i want to go back to windows 8.1. but the recovery tool not detacting my device. what is the prob. in this??

Is your device working or not ?

You can click on my device not found and wait. If it does not detect even after doing this then the Usb cable will be faulty
