I just tried to download flash player for my window phone 540. But can't do this why ?

I don't think Windows supports flash in the phones. I don't know why, but they have never really.

Flash for ANY mobile operating system died a long time ago, Adobe stopped supporting it as its a dead / flawed format that really now in 2015 needs to disappear from the internet!

Fortunately the sites that need Flash are getting fewer every day. Hopefully we will not need it anymore anytime soon.

That's a bit backward.

Adobe Flash stopped supporting all mobile Operating Systems years ago. The fault is with Flash, not the OS.

"But Android has Flash!" Yes, they have workarounds to get deprecated Flash on devices and this leads to exploitable vulnerabilities on the device.

The other fault is that Flash is dying, but websites are slow to convert to html for content. It's not that the device isn't keeping up, old web content is outdated if it depends solely on Flash.

Honestly, I can't wait for Flash to finally go away and leave me alone.
