So today I went to a local retailer's shop and checked out a 640xl. I first thought about checking the camera. In rich capture mode, every image took almost 10-12 seconds to process whereas a normal image took about 5-6 seconds.
I need a review from 640xl users.
Thanks :)

Re: 640 xl

Yes, that's how the new Lumia Camera 5.0 works. It does the image processing in the background which gives the end-user a faster shot to shot time. Rich Capture does take extra time because it takes multiple shots and tries to stitch it together for a HDR photo. (I have an 830 which works similarly)

Re: 640 xl

Yes it does take 4-5 seconds. On a faster spec'd phone like the 1520 or 930, the delay is 1-2 seconds. If you are worried about the delay then you can use the stock camera or Lumia Camera Classic. The only way you can invoke the stock camera is from the Action Center if the stock camera application is set as default camera.

On a similar note, the default camera application in Windows 10 would be replaced by Lumia Camera 5.0 which would be a system app. Judging from the current stock camera speeds, you won't be having any (to very minimal) processing delays on Windows 10
