Compass calibration/ inaccurate, how can I recalibrate it?

Compass calibration/ inaccurate

using here map, i found my compass to be off by about 100* :crying:
is there anyway to recalibrate it, because i don't remember anything ask me to calibrate it at all, it just works (albeit not accurate)

You could force your phone to prompt to re-calibrate the digital compass by introducing a disturbance in the magnetic field surrounding it. This can be done either by putting your phone near a large iron-rich object, e.g. on top of a metal plate or beside your refrigerator door, or by slowly bringing a weak magnet near your phone until it prompt to re-calibrate - for this latter method I recommend a simple refrigerator magnet but make sure not to bring the magnet to within an inch of your phone.

Once prompted to recalibrate, proceed with the calibration in the area where you intend to use your phone, e.g. if in your car do not go outside and calibrate your phone outside your car.
