Lumia 640 XL LTE got stuck in a resetting cycle and hard resetting wort work. What can I do to fix it?

Lumia 640 XL LTE got stuck in a resetting cycle and hard resetting wort work.

I just got a lumia 640 XL LTE in the mail and it worked fine, but i wanted windows 10 so i downloaded it. i quickly realized that the windows 10 way NOT done so i wanted to get back to windows 8.1. I couldnt find out how to get back to the previous update so i did a soft reset to factory settings, but it did a cycle of turning on then showing the microsoft logos then loading with gears. after the gears loaded the phone showed a black screen with a sad face on it :-( and it did this for 6 hours and i cant turn on my phone. i tried hard resetting the phone but it wont work i would love some help.

If you wish to return to windows phone 8.1 from windows 10 you have to use windows phone recovery tool

Try removing the battery and reinsert it then try the process once again. If not then switch it off and revert back to 8.1 through the windows phone recovery tool.
