Why is my Lumia 640xl Not detected by my PC?

I just bought a Microsoft lumia 640 xl
The phone works excellent
But when I try to connect it to my Pc, It is not detected on it(I am using a win8 PC system and have installed Windows Phone software on it). The phone tho starts charging.
When I check the device manager it is found in 'Other devices' and has a yellow sign with a exclamation mark on it..I tried uninstalling the drivers (didnt worked).
When I try to update it, it says

I am confused about the problem
Is it my pc or my phone?
I was not expecting this as it is a new phone.

Any suggestion is appreciated.
Please help

since yours is charging > switch off your 640xl and it will later restart by its own > your pc should detect it from now on
