    There seems to be some kind of child protection (I am an adult) which I'm unable to deinstall

    Go to Microsoft account. hotmail.com and account settings and confirm your age there. Do a reset to your mobile and again add your hotmail id to the device, you will be asked to confirm your age. Select confirm and bingo! You are ready to go

    After changing your age there, try downloading before reset, if still persists, then reset the device
