It's not even been a week since I snagged a brand new & SIM free cyan 640 XL on eBay for 95. It had a blemish on the screen (a feint but visible vertical line) and the seller agreed to a partial refund of 40 due to this... and then for a measly 30 on eBay, I've just found a brand new and sealed (Voda UK locked) 640 LTE, black! Naturally I snapped it up; it'd be rude not to! :p

Such bargains are everywhere, so I encourage you to hunt them down. Now, next step:

~ How/where can I unlock this phone (SIM unlock) for free? Most likely that's a fantasy, LOL. I don't mind paying 5-10.

    [EDIT]

I have found that Vodafone (UK, at least) now unlock ALL their phones free, when you request it:

This makes my smile EVEN BIGGER, because I cannot stand that terrible network.

    ~ Is this a good price? (semi-rhetorical Q)

This will do lovely for Win 10 Beta testing.

    I've paid $47 for my unlocked 640.
It was advertised as refurbished, but in fact was brand new without any flaw.
Came with Samsung charger and USB cable. Don't know if there is anything else in the original box.
