Microsoft has today published a list of supported devices for the upcoming Windows 10 Mobile Fall Creators Update, and it appears the company is omitting yet more Windows phones from its list of supported handsets. This time, the Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL series are being abandoned on the Creators Update, with no official upgrade path to the Fall Creators Update.

No shock. Lillian's 640 keeps getting storage errors. I'm prepping my son's now abandoned S7 for her.

They are basically dropping support for all phones, so 640 owners shouldn't feel too bad. It's not like other phones are going to get updated to RS3 or 4. This is the end other than bug fixes and security updates. You should still get security updates on the 640.

Maybe a good thing? No more worries about them breaking it with a "new feature".
