650 or 640. XL will be too large for you.

You can't go wrong with either the 640 or the 650. In my experience, the speakers are louder on the 640 over the 650 when it comes to calls.

650 battery is too small....IMO....640 or 640 XL is the way to go. I've had all three...if you like compact...go 640, if you are ok with/like big screens the 640 XL camera is pretty sweet. Way better than the 640 or 650 camera.

There isn't a solid difference between the two or at least enough of one to totally dismiss the other. Enjoy your 640!

You'll get great battery life from 640, never used the 650 so I can't tell for sure but I know I was taken aback when I realized how much better battery life is on my 640 than on my 950. It's a great phone, although if you're used to faster devices it may feel a bit slow sometimes.

Love my 640. And to get better signal, there are always repeater-amplifiers. We just put in a Cel-fi Pro for coverage throughout our house in a coverage "hole". We could get one or two bars in one window. Now we get 3 or 4 throughout the house (including the basement). We used to use a microcell, but it was registered through my work AT&T account, and I've now retired.
