Can't hear Alarm

The alarm won't sound. If you press your ear right to the phone, you can very faintly hear it, but if you take your ear away from the phone you can't hear a thing. So it's very, very faint. I've got the volume turned up full but it makes no difference. All other sounds seem ok, ringer, text alert, music and other notifications are fine. It's just the alarm.

Which device and windows build? After anniversary update, alarm is incremental: and looping: volume goes louder and louder. After a minute, alarm shouts at maximus

It's a Lumia 650 running windows 10. Isn't this a Lumia 650 forum?
