It's out capable of running asphalt extreme smoothly at lowest settings?

Does the phone run everything smoothly?

My brother has 925 and wants to buy this one but the chip seems weak.

Cool thanks. The last review I saw for windows central was before anniversary update and it chugged quite a bit at times. It seems no one did a new review of what anniversary update did for the phone. My bro barely plays games but likes to from time to time.

Well, I've been using the L650 for 7 months now. This December will be the eight month.

Let me be clear about one thing. This phones runs well. Really well. It's designed for W10M. There are issues with the phone being slow for certain tasks but it works. Actually the problem isn't the phone but the W10M OS (anniversary build). It works but has bugs here and there. Very stable than the THRESHOLD builds. No doubt about that. Camera is snappy. Without HDR, you can easily shoot 10-12 pics before 'Saving...' appears. Also, it can shoot Living images too.
.
It doesn't heat up much. In my experience the 950XL heats up MORE than this.
.
I'm using a 32GB UHS-1 card which is 90% full and the 16GB internal (huge thanks to the engineers for this !) is 70% full. This has started to show its toll on the overall speed of the OS and I'm thinking of doing a hard reset (fresh install without restore) after 7 months. This isn't bad really. Because before the Anniv build, i was on fast then slow then Release builds for a while and I switched to production when official anniversary was released. All this WITHOUT a hard reset.
.
Great phone. Go for it.
.
Runs games like Dead Trigger 2 with ease too.
.
Some advantages this has over WP8.1 devices upgraded to 10.
1) Flashlight comes on INSTANTLY.
2) Camera is super stable though photos app can be a bit slow.
3) Glance works well.
In general (nothing to do with OS)
- Great speakers. You need to listen to the bass and treble. Really nice.
- 16GB internal helps a lot. Definitely supported till RS3 also.
- One issue is with the Camera app and its processing. It de-saturates images. This is a common issue with the camera app on W10 devices but im sure they'll fix it.
.
Cheers !

I'm really sorry about the reply because it's all squished. The Windows Central app is at fault.
.
I did type with gaps in between (paragraphs) but it hasn't shown up that way.

I just "upgraded" from a 640 to a 650. I'm shocked at the performance difference.

The 650 Is so smooth and works well for me and I've been using it for like a day lol but I've already noticed the difference

And ABHI is right. The flashlight comes on IMMEDIATELY. I was like.. whoaaa
