So i'm in a bit of a pickle and can't figure out how to navigate Microsoft support on this.

My new lumia 950xl since yesterday won't play, stream, or download anything from groove music. I got it on Wednesday and yesterday morning was able to play songs and download quite a few songs to the local sd care. Then suddenly all attempts to play, steam, or download give different error messages.

The most recent error message is 0xc00d0fcf (0x80070020) but I must stress it looks like a different error code each time. Tried again and got 0xc00d11df.

I think its because my account was transitioned from a zune pass to a groove music pass and its having difficult adding new devices. This poster on WPCentral seemed to have similar problems: forums.windowscentral.com/groove-music/325357-errors-new-phone-re-subbed-music-pass.html

I know the recommendation will be to call Microsoft support. But i'll be darned if they aren't entirely useless. I went to my groove account to make sure I don't have more than 5 devices listed. I only have two NOT including my 950xl. Stream and downloading songs works perfectly on my laptop and may account is paid through 2016.

I followed the contact us link in the groove music page and started a chat with a support technician. The groove "contact us" links here. support.microsoft.com/en-us/contact/menu/software/windows/ts/ She referred me to a url on how to reset xbox music...on your xbox.

So I scheduled a call with Microsoft support. They stated they are only trained for support Windows 10 on laptop and desktop and referred me to Nokia for support of a windows phone. She didn't seem to know that Microsoft now owns nokia and my repeated statements that my phone is made by Microsoft and i'm having issues with a Microsoft subscription service didn't do anything.

so I started a chat with a subscription tech specialist. However, she (while friendly and seemingly more knowledgable than the others) referred me again to xbox device support: specifically this page: support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us#2:3:1

In the xbox support page, under legacy devices, you can find support for xbox music on windows phone 8. I started a chat with a technical who was very friendly. And then linked me to the groove support page that I originally started with. The ones who referred me to the xbox support people...

I called Microsoft again in the contact menu in the groove webpage. And the sent me to "blue sapphire techincial support"? And now nokia/microsoft mobile support is closed over the weekend.

So yeah, how to I actually get in touch with groove music account support?

I have also received both of these errors today: 0xc00d0fcf (0x80070020) and 0xc00d11df. In addition, I'm also getting 0xc00d11cd (0x8004c3e8). For me, I just noticed this starting today. I will note however that I am able to play music I have uploaded to OneDrive and added as a playlist to Groove. Outside of my own music, any music I have as a result of my long-standing, active Groove subscription is unplayable. Even for playlists that I have set to "Available Offline". I have tried logging off Groove using my phone, rebooting, but nothing so far has worked. Groove works fine on my PC. I just switched back from Android and I would get this problem from time to time there. On Android, I would uninstall and reinstall Groove and I'd be good to go. Unfortunately, on Windows 10 mobile, it appears I can't uninstall Groove. Very frustrating because I was hoping this Groove issue was Android related and now it seems I'm worse off than before.

Same here on my Lumia640 running the same RTM build as the Lumia 950/950xl.

Same experience with customer support. There is a lot of confusion from Microsoft Support as to whose responsibility it is to even support Groove :/

I just tested and mine is playing fine - so unless yours has restored you know it isn't a service wide issue.
