Free display dock OUT OF STOCK ALREADY!!?? (Canada)

I'm wondering if anybody is experiencing the same thing...i just bought the 950xl (in Canada) and wanted to claim the free docking offer. But it says out of stock on MS (on the webpage where you can claim it, the docking itself is still available though if you pay $$ to buy it). Any suggestions how I could get my free docking? Thanks a lot.

Here's my experience that I posted on another thread but this topic deserves it's own thread...

WTF??? I pre ordered my 950xl from a physical store as soon as they were available for pre order. I picked it up on Black Friday as soon as it was available for pick up here. I did all updates including the Lumia Offers update over the weekend. Yesterday, Monday, I started the process of switching my service from Verizon to ATT. Today I finished the process and got my sim. Went straight to the Lumia Offers app and got this...

So I called the store and they said the offer was only while supplies last... WTF??? Tomorrow I'm going to the store and I better get a different answer... this is unacceptable! (I couldn't have done this any faster considering they released it on Thanksgiving holiday weekend and I had to switch from a Verizon corporate account to ATT)

Calm down, it'll almost certainly be back in stock "soon". Remember they originally mentioned 10-12 weeks delivery time - their system probably just isn't configured (yet) to deal with such long-running orders.

They must have a SMALL amount of free docks set aside then..... the phone is in stock for less than a week and based on my chat with the sales, I was probably the first few ppl that purchased it at the ms store (yorkdale mall)... some of the staff didn't actually know they were in stock... Let's hope the free dock comes back soon..

I'd say wait it out another few days to see what happens. If we reported on this everytime, we'd have done like 3 or 4 stories by now.

I'll try waiting it out then. No use calling the store because they don't know what's going on... they just said it was "while supplies last." I was going to head over to the store today but I'll give it a couple days first.

Been trying to redeem since Black Friday. All weekend up until Lumia Offers got an update it was a blank page under the offers. Now mine is showing exactly like Mark's. I have a case in with Windows Phone support on this and they said the app is messed up currently. Hopefully gets sorted out but I will be quite frustrated if indeed do get screwed over due to something out of my hands.

Hmm, Mr. Rubino suggests waiting "another few days". Well I've been waiting since the 25th when I received the phone, and the app simply does not work, even when updated. Every time it says "Stay tuned. Look out for upcoming offers". A very sad promotion indeed...

Calm down, they'll be back.
The free dock I ordered on last Friday was backordered, MS did not have enough supply for sure, as they launched the phone/dock almost at the same time globally.

I just talked with MS Chat, and they said that the Free Display Dock offer was no longer available (USA). And I still can't order a phone; email when available.

Lumia support (@LumiaHelp) is working with me on it, unfortunately they're really slow. There are others in forums that have been having similar issues. It definitely sounds like a bug as if its no longer available, it shouldn't be listed as available on the previous screen. Maybe if more and more people contact @lumiahelp, they'll figure out that the issue is more widespread. Just make sure you keep asking them until they ask for your info, cause they'll probably make you go through install/reinstall, even though you have to insist the app isn't in the store and wait for them to actually provide a link to download the app in the store, etc etc etc.

Called Customer Service a little while ago. Normal rep couldn't help, so he escalated my problem and said I should get a call from a specialist.

pfffft I wouldn't hold my breath for that call back, I have heard NUMEROUS complaints of reps saying they will call back and NONE ever call back... BTW I am planning on buying the L950XL in 3 weeks as my GF is going to the states and she will be buying directly from the MS store, do you think the free dock deal will still be available then?

The free dock is available through an offer through an app, not from picking it up at the store. not sure if there are any regional restrictions on where they'll ship the dock or anything.

Actually, I'm thinking the free promotion wouldn't last much longer. It's a week from launch now and they can't keep giving them free forever, especially like what would be the point for early adopters then? I went and got my 950xl right at the first sniff that people were getting them early just be be sure I had a good chance for the free dock as I figured it would've only lasted a few days.

Same thing with the Band2 launch, lol, free gift for like first 50 people and I made sure I was there pretty close to opening even though it wasn't anything special.

Got my call back. Rep said the offer was only for online pre-orders. I told her that my local store manager had read to me an internal memo that said the offer applied to physical stores as well. She took the name of the manager and the location of the store and told me she would be emailing me and asking for a picture of my receipt. Have not gotten the email yet.

Also emailed the manager to keep him updated on the situation.

I went through the store manager directly. They admitted to telling me that the offer was good in physical stores as well as online when I pre-ordered my 950xl. They also instructed me to order the free Display Dock through the Lumia Offers app when I picked it up and they acknowledge saying this. So they have been researching the issue since Tuesday but I still haven't got a call back yet. I'm going to try and stop by to check the status today or tomorrow as they seem more motivated to resolve any issues when I'm there in person. There seems to be a lot of confusion and I'm hoping they work this out.
